Recognizing this unique trait of sniffing animals, we're developing LUCID: a patented scalable platform for cancer screening using breath samples and animals' amazing olfaction capabilities.
Naturally, we chose canines!
This bio-hybrid platform integrates a fusion sensoric lab, AI algorithms, VOC delivery methods, and big data. The lab was designed to be easily replicated worldwide. Starting with SpotitEarly’s own CLIA-registered lab, paving the way for a new era in non-invasive cancer detection.
Our analytical methods measure the breath sample's VOC levels, in order to corroborate and interpret multiple touch points within the SpotitEarly workflow.

The LUCID platform tracks hundreds of live data points every second and interprets canines’ reaction to breath samples. Exclusive algorithms then determine the likelihood of cancerous presence in each sample - resulting in accurate test outcomes.

The LUCID Station, our proprietary lab testing device operated by LUCID, connected to our fusion sensoric lab, optimizes the cancer screening process, delivering high throughput of over a million screening tests a year in a single facility. These stations are designed to be installed at large scales in labs around the world.

LUCID, SpotitEarly’s cutting-edge system is design to run, monitor and measure the tests performed in the lab. Combining proprietary hardware devices, software and AI to make the picture delivered by canine behavior and physiological reactions, well, lucid.
Once testing begins, LUCID collects hundreds of data points every second and analyzes the dogs’ cognitive and physiological reactions in real time. The system calculates probabilities and constantly codes, refines, and upgrades the algorithm.
All this converges into a medical standard pre-screening test that aims for higher accuracy, convenience, savings, and most importantly, higher adherence by the public.

Over a Million Tests per Year from a Single Facility
A single LUCID operated lab facility will be capable of delivering well over 1 million tests per year, enough to cover the needs of a 4 million population of adults aged 40+ designated for testing as per cancer screening guidelines.
